Book your online workshop in a few easy steps. Invest in your home, save time and money by working with industry experts. This consultancy have designed for Adare Manor, voted Best Hotel in the World - now they can share their design inspiration with you.

1. Booking a Session

Book an online consultation and speak to an experienced home lighting designer on how to transform the lighting in your home to compliment your lifestyle.

By booking a Design Session, you will be investing in the expert knowledge of some of the finest lighting designers in the UK. By employing their service at the beginning of your project, you will save time and mistakes. Each session is a highly personalised experience, with the primary aim of sharing expertise and inspiration. Their lifelong passion for using light to energise, invigorate, restore and enhance environments can all be translated into your own home

2. Video Call with Kate&Sam

We sit down to discuss your lighting challenges, rooms and ideas to develop a lighting approach and plan your lighting around you, how you use the space, how you want to feel, and just make it look good.

Kate&Sam will spend time researching your design requirements from your information sent (at least) 24 hours before your video call, and preparing ideas ready for your design session.

Via video call, Kate and Sam will answer all your questions, sketch up a workable design and inspire you with mood boards, using all the information you have supplied. Specific technical questions can be resolved and product fitting types suggested.

3. Room Lighting Ideas & Insights

Pulling together everything you need to make your dream a reality; whether it's notes from the consultancy, lighting plans/schemes, specific recommendations, room layouts, concept imagery... It's entirely up to you!

Your design workshop will be followed up with information, sketches and documentation that explore the areas you have been discussing. This element of the consultation is completely bespoke to your session.

4. Further Advice & Guidance

Once we've finished reinventing your home lighting, our consultants will be on-hand to help with anything else you need, from further advice to different rooms, more lighting plans, shopping lists and more.

Open plan living or garden lighting approach & sketch scheme

From £800

Working from your supplied documents, K&S with review and prepare ideas then will sit down with you for a online design session (allow around 1 hour), to discuss lighting moods, brainstorm and develop your space, suggest solutions, sketch options, discuss fixtures, resolve issues, suggest improvements developing a sketch lighting layout. Your electrician or anyone is welcome to join the video call as your options are explored. Then, afterwards, you’ll receive a lighting package including all the meetings information: Key mood/ technique images, sketch layouts, sketches, and any suggested light fixture information.

Single room or small garden lighting sketch layout

From £400

This is ideal for a new kitchen installation to develop a complimentary lighting scheme providing for different moods and functions. Then, afterwards, you’ll receive all the meetings notes and sketch layout. Allow around 30 mins for your design meeting. You can lead this intensive online workshop with specific design goals in mind, questions about layout, decorative or technical lighting, outdoor lighting design, control or eco lighting, problem solving. And the more drawings, photos and dreams you send us in advance the more we can prepare for your meeting with lighting ideas. This session is also perfect if you have questions like 'where do we put the lights?' 'Where do we start?' or 'I know what I want but don't know how' or 'Its a small room but needs to be well lit' or 'The electrician has supplied a kitchen lighting layout, but I'm not sure, please can you comment on the layouts and downlight'?

Lighting Shopping List/ Outline specification

From £600

Not sure where to source your lighting? Then follow your online workshop with the technical lighting shopping list complete with suppliers. Kate&Sam can provide lighting specifications for both interior and exterior schemes. The list will provide your electrician with the suggested lighting fixtures, lamps and controls.
This is included in some packages.

Outline Lighting Plan

From £160 Per Room

Following your lighting design workshop Kate&Sam can develop an Outline Lighting Plan (on your supplied survey or architects general CAD plan), showing fixture positions, types and control groups. This can be used by your electrician, architect or interior designer as the base for your lighting scheme.
This is included in some packages.

Video call with Kate&Sam, discussing lighting ideas and options and developing a lighting approach and/or a sketch layout. Bring in your architect, interior design, electrician, we are here to help and it’s up to you how you use your session. You need to send your information to us at least 24 hours in advance, e.g Inspiration pictures, photos, drawings, sketches, plans, videos etc.
Via video call, Kate and Sam will answer all your questions, sketch up a workable design and inspire you with mood boards, using all the information you have supplied. Specific technical questions can be resolved and a product shopping list suggested. Invite your designer or architect to join in and lead the session with your design goals in mind.

Your workshop will be followed up with information, sketches and documentation that explore the areas you have been discussing. This element of the consultation is completely bespoke to the client - only relevant aspects of the lighting design issues that have been raised will be annotated and emailed to you. If required, sketches can be produced which will be suitable for briefing an architect or electrician but these are not technical drawings.
